Introduction to Scuba for Beginners
It’s true! You don’t have to be certified to go diving. Discover Scuba Diving is PADI’s program that allows you to experience the weightless exhilaration of breathing underwater with the direct supervision of a professional dive instructor. This program is designed to encourage exploration and allow you to satisfy your curiosity about scuba divin
Discover Scuba Diving is conducted at a shallow reef or pool, where you will master a few basic scuba skills. Then, if you decide you want to become a Certified Open Water Diver, these skills can be credited toward your first open water certification dive. This is a way that you can try out scuba diving without committing yourself to the entire certification process.
We’ll spend part of our time diving and exploring a coral reef, swimming with tropical fish and just getting used to being in the underwater environment. Even if you are familiar with tropical waters, Identify fish that are new to you and we’ll help identify them. You’ll get an introduction to diving with an intro to tropical underwater life.
Prerequisites
- 10 years of age
- Good physical health
- Cannot be pregnant, no asthma, no epilepsy, no diabetes, no personal history of heart attacks or heart problems, strokes, no recently diagnosed High Blood pressure, no antidepressant medications or other potential contraindicated medications, no problems equalizing your ears on an airplane or in the mountains.
- Young children must be of adequate size to fit into the equipment and capable of carrying a 40 pound tank on their back.
- Children under the age of 18 must participate with a parent or guardian.
For safety, Discover Scuba Diving is limited to no more than 4 participants per instructor, in the open water at any one time

After completing your Resort Course, and your 1st dive, you can schedule a second 2-tank boat trip with your instructor or divemaster as your buddy.

Mandatory Requirements:
The Medical Questionnaire must be completely filled out in advance, If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions listed, you will need a physician signature allowing you to dive, prior to arrival.

Note: Please note that due to physiological circumstances anyone participating in any scuba diving activities will need 18 hours between your last dive and flying in an aircraft.

We offer private dive charters. Our charters caters to private tours for individuals families or groups. The flexibility of our schedule caters to your needs. If you are traveling with families or friends who are a mixture of divers and snorkelers, reserving a private charter means we are able to select sites suitable to both.
If you or anyone in your group has any fears or concerns about learning to scuba dive or snorkeling, not to worry we’re here to re assure you or just bubble watch from the boat.

In order to participate in Royalty Divers Two-Tank Dives, you must meet these minimum qualifications:

Charter prices are for local charters only, northern side of Nassau, other locations are available for an additional charge.
